Chapter fifty-four

It was already a damn night and I couldn't get enough sleep. I was stirring around the bed not being uncomfortable, not when Jade was acting up.

I sat upright and trudged myself out of the bed and went toward the window to have a better view.

The night stretched out so quickly more than I expected, it wasn't that long before the morning sun arose and now it is already dark.

I opened the window and immediately the chilly breeze blew on my face, causing me to shiver a bit in coldness.

Moving out of the window, I put on my jacket and walked back to the window.

I sat down and looked out through the window. I glanced around but couldn't see Jade.

I wasn't surprised because that has become his normal routine, he doesn't stay around here often.

Sometimes, he does travel claiming that he left to investigate for the rogue's attack, and sometimes he won't arrive here for days.

At times, when he is around, he will be hiding around the woods making some strange calls.
