Chapter twenty-one

"Albin," I said with a muffled voice.

I suddenly exchanged looks with Allen as the knock continued at the door.

I watched him stand up to go to the door when I stopped him.

"Allen," I called, stopping him.

He turned around to face me.

"Can I go out through your second door?" He stared at me for a while before nodding.

I stood up and towards the second door, you could hardly notice that another was in this room but for having worked here for ages, I know.

I pulled the curtain and slid in to open the door as I started hearing the cracking sound knowing that Allen is about to open the other door for Albin.

I couldn't say that I am scared of Albin but the resentment and the anger that flashes on my face upon setting my eyes on him was enough to make me distance myself from him.

After several attempts of not being able to open the door, I gave up and wanted to come out when I heard their voices. I inched closer with curiosity to hear what they were saying.

Sliding the curtain a bit, I peep
