Oden looked at Mira in confusion.

“We didn’t want you to be in a difficult position.” Mira pursed her lips and lowered her head “We thought ignorance is bliss. I was wrong. I apologize.”

“No need.” Oden waved his hand “But you should tell me if you are in trouble.”

“Um” Jack and Mira nodded after being told off.

“Son” Matthew prompted again noting that they had conveniently gone off topic.

“The official story was that someone had committed murder and escaped from the room they were locked up in.” Oden turned to look at Matthew “But I heard from a reliable source…” Oden corrected himself “from the first master’s daughter that they originally intended to ask for a man for man…”
