Chapter Twenty-Three

Isabelle's point of view

Three days before Dominic and I would leave for Australia, Rita was in my office.

“How would you cope now? Staying with this mean cold-blooded boss of ours, coupled with the rumors going on as well. I feel so sad for you, Isabelle.” She sounded worried.

And I laughed a little. “Only what I hope for is that this deal works in our favor, don't bother about any other things,” I said to her with a smile.

“You are such a sweet person, Isabelle with a kind heart, if anything is bothering you and you really need to share it with someone, just know I am always here for you.” She gave me this comforting smile, I nodded and thanked her.

Later that day I was at Dominic's office.

“You know we will be traveling in a few days, you should take the remaining days off to prepare yourself. Besides, you shouldn't overwork as well, Isabelle.” He looked serious and also worried as well.

“Dominic, you worry a lot, I'm totally fine.” I laughed.

“That’s what you always say.”
