David arrived in my apartment tonight without me expecting it. It took me completely off guard. I knew we had been spending a lot of time together lately, but we usually communicated with each other first to decide what we were going to do after work.

This time, he didn't even text or call me before he came.

When I opened the door, his presence filled me with a warmth that comforted my entire being, but simultaneously I could see the hunger in his eyes and feel his unyielding desperation to be with me. It wasn't that surprising, but it felt different somehow.
