Chris raised his head when he heard those words. He just happened to see the scene through the car window.

Laura was leaning forward and looking at the desserts in front of her, revealing half of her familiar face.

Chris had seen the man next to her. It was Liam. They had met at the barbecue shop a few days ago.

Chris’s eyes immediately turned cold.

“Mr. Jacobs, there’s got to be some kind of misunderstanding, right?” asked Assistant Jacobs. “Is that guy Mrs. Jacobs’ brother?”

The two of them looked to be very intimate.

“Keep your eyes on the road.” Chris didn’t answer Assistant Jacobs’ question. He turned away and looked coldly at the front. However, his grip on the documents in his hands tightened.

They were in a contract marriage and would divorce in a year’s time, but they should remain loyal to each other within this year.

Chris had originally wanted to get out of the car, but the banquet was about to start. He didn’t want to waste time on other matters.
