Shona wanted to stop Chris, but one look from him froze her dead in her tracks.

Chris and Laura came down the stairs. Cold wind blew past and made Laura hunch her shoulders.

Chris turned around and looked at Laura. He suddenly reached out, buttoned her jacket on for her and caressed her hair.
