Beginning of the end

The little baby boy was named after Katherine’s father, William, and he was beautiful just like his parents. Every day at 5 PM when Richard had a small break in between meetings, conferences and advisory sessions, Katherine passed by to enjoy the 15 minutes they got to spend as a family. Richard left the Oval around 8-9PM when little William was already asleep. They ate dinner with Katherine and talked about how he’d smiled, or how fast he ate. Katherine was breastfeeding him.

Richard seemed genuinely happy as he saw the door of his office opening and through it appearing his son, his legacy. And his wife whom he respected and admired for staying up all night when William cried so he could be the President of the US the next morning. He loved her. No matter how hard to believe it is, he did love her. They were together since the start of his political career. They were partners. And even if Richard had never said it and Katherine hesitated to admit it, they both knew they weren’t th
