Chapter 557: The evidence

The governor of the FBI couldn't believe his ears. He found it amusing more than he found it surprising.

There was no way he would have expected it. How could Alex be having a loss of memory?

"So, how soon will he regain his memory?"

The doctor sighed. "We are not sure yet. We will need to observe him some more to conclude that. So, for now, I might say you should leave him at the hospital. It's for his health," he explained.

The governor nodded once and stretched out his hand for a handshake. "Thank you, doctor," he expressed with a smile.

His phone rang as he stepped out of the hospital. It was one of the FBI agents, his junior.

He picked it up. "Hello. Is something wrong?"

"Yes, governor. Giovanni is here to see you and he has refused to leave until he does so," he explained.

The governor groaned inwardly. "Alright, I will be there," he announced and hung up.
