Linda’s POV

A surge of energy suddenly shot through me and I took a big gulp of breath as if I had been under water and had been deprived of oxygen.

And with that, I regained control over my body once more. I tried to stand on my feet immediately, almost falling to the floor but I gained my composure and stood behind the couch.

“Who are you?!” I exclaimed. “And what do you want from me?!”

The man did not seem fazed, he watched me with intrigue and simply smiled. “You have nothing to worry about.”

“Says the man that drugged and kidnapped me!” I searched around for something to use to defend myself, but my eyes only fell on the small vase that was not too far from me.

I reached for it and held it, willing to use it as a weapon if I had to.

“If you will just calm down, I will explain everything to you and you will be home in no time.”

I looked around, taking in the new environment. “Where are we?”

The man sighed, and tried to move as he said, “We’re at my house.”
