Chapter 36: Awkward

So, I made Deamian run back home and fetch me my clothes because I really did not want to be parading around his dad's pack grounds naked.
He answered my demand first by questioning why he couldn't see me naked. "we're mates after all!" Was what he said. He said this, however after the fact that he claimed to want to mate me right there and then because of said nudity. So, excuse me if I didn't trust his self-control. Not that I had a problem with it, it's just... I was already impure enough. Imagine how excruciating the ritual would be if I'd been mated. Idiot. And that leads me to our current situation: an argument, as always...
"... You had a responsibility to tell me about being impure for the ritual!" I yelled as we walked. Deamian was finally in his human form, parading in his boxers because my mate ladies and gentlemen was a mouth-watering idiot who enjoyed not having clothes on.

Apparently, Scarlett was taking her revenge on Deamian because she expected to become the next and final moon goddess since they were in love. They needed to do it now, before the essence integrated with my DNA and it became impossible to extract. That meant, they only had today. I wish I'd known. I wish I'd been more aware, less naive and gullible. I wish I were alpha Rose and not Rose, Moon Goddess with actual emotions.
