“Are you sure about this?” I asked the shopkeeper as I scanned the wristwatches they had. I didn't understand why I came here to the jewelry store to buy men's watches when I had no one to give them to.

“Madam, these are the best we have, and they just came in today,” the man said as he brought out more of their expensive gold watches. I stood there checking each one of them. I didn't know which one to choose, but I wanted one for Dave.

“Please pack this for me…charge from this card,” I said, finally deciding on taking a simple silver watch. I had no idea if he wanted something expensive, but I just bought the one I liked.
