AUTHOR POV

Abigail walked into Damian’s room and found him sitting on the balcony, gazing out at the city skyline, he was holding a glass whiskey. She approached quietly, not wanting to startle him. “Hey, Damian,” she said softly, leaning against the doorframe.

Damian turned to look at her, while taking a sip from the glass in his hands, seeing her brought back a lot of painful memories, he couldn’t get the image of her having sex with another.

She cheated on him, but he didn’t want to tell her he knew about it

Damian's gaze shifted away from Abigail, his jaw clenched as he struggled to contain the turmoil churning within him. He took another sip of whiskey, the burn of the alcohol offering a fleeting distraction from the ache in his chest. Abigail watched him carefully, sensing the tension in the air but unable to pinpoint its source. "Mind if I join you?" she asked, her voice gentle.
