Chapter 5

"Are you all right, Nurse Gia?" My confusion for Ayesha rose when suddenly I could hear the teasing in her tone.

"It's like you have a fever because your face is so red." Lyra followed that teasing further and then giggled.

"You two should stop and get Nurse Gia some water, not what you're thinking." James reprimanded them and the two immediately scratched their necks and then marched toward the kitchen.

"Did you get a big bruise?" I turned to James when he asked that question and it was obvious that Roseanne was interested because she immediately looked at me and listened to my answer.

"It's a little big but it's okay because I already put on the ointment that Roseanne gave me," I replied and then felt my bruise again and for a moment I was shocked because of the pain again. I winced because of the realization that I seemed to have temporarily forgotten the bruise I had because of what Bryce had done earlier.

"How many days will your bruise last before it completely disappears?"
