CHAPTER 61

Mack was just regaining consciousness when his phone alerted him of an incoming message.  He had a throbbing headache and he had to take a couple of minutes to clear the fog from his head.  By the time he recieved the message, he was fully awake and in pain.  The message was from Sierra letting him know that Madison was safe and sound, in Xavier's vehicle and the combination to the doors was 5-6-7-3-8-2.  Mack finally was able to let out a breath in relief!

He quickly called Thompson, but for some reason he wasn't answering his phone, so Mack left him a voicemail letting him know what was happening.  His next call was to the Chief to inform him of his location and where he would be headed.  He knew that THAT would get his ass chewed for disobeying a direct order to stay out of the investigation but he didn't care!  When he tried to start the car there was no power.  He popped the hood and found the battery was missing!  "DAMN I
