Back in her office, she paced the footing starting from the moment of her walk into the space. What would she do? She thought aloud, stopping her trek at the window side.

For the first time in a while, since she played her game, she felt somewhat guilty. No, not guilty but frightened by what would become of her if she doesn't fix her mess right on time.

She thought Jonathan didn't care for Emily, and would not be so concerned about her leaving. Why then did he seem to care so much about her, to the extent of inquiring about her house address?

“Victoria, you must do something,” she heard herself say. “You will be dragged into the mud if something is not done.”

She took her seat on the chair before her computer system, turned on the device and began to type. There was a lot to be done for the day, she would rather do what she had to do than think of a way out when there were a million and one ways to sort out herself from the mess she was in, already.
