He put his head in his hands, sighing, and I can hear the disappointment just in that. He’s Alaina’s ‘person’, and I don’t know him well, but the thought of Callum being disappointed in me makes me very uncomfortable. Almost like getting hauled into the principal’s office.
“Tell me again WHY you thought it would be a bright idea to tell our Alpha, who doesn’t keep ANYTHING from Alaina, the situation, during their relaxing vacation, that, really, could wait until they get back.”

Ashton POV I convinced Alaina to stay at Wild Rose pack for, at least, a couple days. Giving me time to talk to this Jack guy and see what he’s all about. On my way back I see someone come out of the woods and start walking down the road. When I get a little closer they turn around. Ash POV I hold Alaina as she sleeps, and my mind wanders to her reaction to all of this. 'I don’t get it, why would she think we would be mad at her?'
