Mining Recovery

Jessie followed Alrick to a small trailer. She figured it was an office. These endeavours needed organization for people’s safety. One of her grandfathers died in an accident. That accident happened in this mine. She felt confident in the knowledge the mine’s safe to enter. 

Once inside, Jessie saw the crowded interior. Boxes, papers, computers, and what she assumed were maps. The walls appeared covered in maps and things. Jessie dismissed these things, knowing she’d find no meaning in them. She saw a grey-haired man standing behind a large table. He looked up when the door opened. He’d been in the mine earlier. The mine’s dust covered his clothing in patches. S
