In the morning, Abernathy offered to give us a ride to the chateau. I wanted to say yes. Adam wanted us to say yes as well. He was so done with Chris and me. But Joanna wanted to stay with us. As I sat in the living room and waited while grandfather took a call, I couldn't help but lose myself in my thoughts and all that happened to get me to this point. A moment.
