Talking to Aniyah had deep in thought, reminiscing about my mother, which was breaking me. I missed her. I could feel her, her spirit, lingering around, blessing me. I would remind her of our promise. I told her I kept her promise, making sure she knew I was still looking after her only daughter, Alana.

“If I do not make it, go to my pack. Help yourself.” She begged me.

“What? I can’t do that.”

“You can-“

“it’s not as easy as you make it sound. I’m known as a rogue man.”

“I’m the Luna.” She said, hope resting in her eyes. “And I accept you. I accept you.”

I can’t. I can’t just leave my sister.”

“It’s okay. You did all you could do. Do not suffer for her anymore. Be happy. Be with people who will appreciate you.”

It was not that easy. It will never be easy. I made a promise.
