“It’s a game, you’re supposed to play the game like sensible adults.”

“Clearly you’re not sensible enough and I don’t want anything to do with you ever again!”

“Of course, he’s the one person that enjoys organising this sort of thing. Are we going?” Alicia asked, scrolling up and down her phone to find a perfect stocking for the new skirt she bought, the ones Jason paid for.

“Yes. I can’t spend the weekend at home, my dad is back. He can’t even take a hint, nobody wants him home. I’m the only one who gets picked on during dinner and gets asked about my grades like he did any better in university.”

Alicia chuckled, caressing Anna’s cheeks. “My bestie who has daddy issues just like I do, maybe that’s why I enjoy calling a guy ‘daddy’.”
