Christopher slowly lifted his disheveled head and met the puzzled gazes of Oliver and me. The shock was palpable, and I could scarcely sound the sight before me. floundering to compose himself, Christopher hastily climbed to his bases, brushing off the dirt that had cleaved to his clothes. His voice quivered with embarrassment as he stammered,"I...I was not harkening in, I swear. I did not mean to intrude."

Oliver, ever the epitome of cool, wore a trim smile that played across his face.

Undeterred by the awkwardness of the situation, he teasingly prodded Christopher, relishing in his discomfort. "Oh, Christopher, my friend! Surely, we can expect a more entertaining explanation than that. Did we catch you red-handed?"
