The Forbidden City was quite a wealthy land. In the past, it operates in a discreet way that when they trade or negotiate, no one would be able to unravel it until its result showed on their faces. This was heavily influenced by the inclination of Dark to secrets. That said, any affair that was to take place in their Empire never gets its way out.

Once, a protector has been tricked to spill some valuable pieces of information about Dark’s kingdom such as its interior and the secret passageway that was used for either secret rituals or negotiations.
