At 5:00, Mia was partially disappointed that Sam had never called her back into his office, but then, she wasn’t sure if she could handle another round with him that afternoon. She was still a little sore from the first time.

She grabbed her purse from the bottom drawer, wondering if Sam had only said she needed to be ready for him to call her back in that afternoon in order to mess with Beau, and headed out of the office for the day. She’d arranged for a car to pick her up, thinking she should just go home and get some sleep. It had been a long last few days.
