Christen nodded to the cashier before taking her leave out the supermarket, a bag of groceries in hand. ‘This should be everything on the list,’ she thought, glancing at the grocery list she had in her other hand.

She had been working in Forrest’s mansion as a servant for several days now. In the time that passed, as she expected, not one of her peers made any attempt to get along with her.

Instead, they tried to find various ways to get her out of the house. At least, Christen thought they were trying to. Often times, though, she noticed how some of the servants would try to make attempts to either get her hurt or make a mess of things, only for the ideas to be turned down in the end, out of fear of Forrest and Kiara finding out. They still pushed her around, somewhat, and had her handle several difficult tasks on her own, but she managed.
