Seeing his reaction, I lower my head. I don't have the guts to bear his rejection.
"What did you say?", he asks me in a devasted voice after a few seconds.
"I know it's not trustable. But I'm pregnant", I stammer, still looking down. "It's your baby, Chris", my hands automatically slide down to my belly as he abruptly cups my face, lifting it.
As I look at him, I discover him smiling. He is unable to speak anything because of excitement. I can't figure out what to assume. Nervousness is still filled into me.
