"Yes, mom. I'll be late", I tell her on call as I step out of the car. I can hear the noise from the concert, standing 200 meters away. Christian hops down and stands beside me.
"But you said you wouldn't go to your work from now", she says in a concern filled voice. "And what's this noise about?"
"I'm at a concert, mom. I'll be late. Don't worry about me", I raise my voice so that she can hear me.
"Really? You're in a concert?", she sounds shocked and excited at the same time.
"Yes, some of my college friends are here", I roll my eyes. "Don't wait for me. I'll have my dinner"
"That's good. I'm glad you're trying to meet people", she beams. "Take care and be careful"
