Chapter 30 (An Offer)

I still remember the day of dad's demise. I was sitting outside the graveyard the whole day. Mom tried her best to take me home but I didn't take a step forward to go. She had to leave me there since few bad people were vacating my home. That moment, the 16 years old boy came and sat beside me, heard me crying, gave me his shoulder to cry on and promised to me that he would be there for me and mom always, the way we were for him. He was Christian. I buried my head into his arms, finding the peace. Though we don't know the exact time when we fall in love, I always believed it was the day when I felt something deep for him. Maybe, it was love which kept growing between us over the years. And today I'm promising to myself I'll be there for him forever, no matter whatever the situation is. The way he loved me, handled me, supported me, I'll try my best to match it.
