"No, she can't drink too much coffee now", Auntie says as I shake my head while making a milkshake for her.
"What happened?", she asks me abruptly as I hesitate.
"Nothing, Auntie. I was just tired", I lie to her.
Ivanna gets annoying sometimes when she overthinks. It sickens me. How many times should I tell her that I'm doing all this for her? I have no one. For whom am I trying to settle in life? For whom am I earning? It's definitely her. But she overreacts sometimes.
I was so excited to see her in those clothes. I had chosen every cloth taking a lot of time, figuring out whether she would be comfortable. She says she notices my efforts but today she ignored it which hurt me.
"Nothing? I know you well", she pats on my head. "You look pissed"
"Your daughter!", I sigh. It's true that I can't lie to aunty since she knows my every reaction so well. "She is annoying sometimes and overthinks", I shrug while stirring the milkshake.
