Chapter 3

I bit my nails as I tried to understand my professor. His subject is business tax, and I hate it. I hate everything about tax lessons. I just have to thank my parents for giving me their smart genes because thankfully, I easily understand the lessons. My ass wouldn't survive in this course if my laziness was paired up with stupidity.

I heaved a sigh when finally, the class was over. I put the sling of my bag on my shoulder and prepared myself to leave. I glanced at Anna, a blockmate, who made her way towards me.

"Hi, Katriel!" she flashed me her annoying smile. I don't like it when she smiles. She has braces on her teeth, plus her gums always show. It just doesn't look right.

"Hi." I faked a smile.

"Is it true? That you and Kadmiel Candelon are a thing?" Her eyes flamed in jealousy. She was smiling but her eyes told otherwise. Plastic.

I raised a brow. "You're asking me because?"

"I'm just curious! You've had your ex-flings before. And… you were just on headlines, you know. You're just an overall notorious playgirl. I just want to know if the circulating news is true. Kadmiel is a man with principles. I don't think he would—"

"Shut up, Anna. I don't wanna hear more jealous words coming from your mouth. You can confirm it by watching me 24/7, okay? I don't need to fucking answer your question."

I smiled at her sweetly before leaving the room. I rolled my eyes. Fucking gossip girl. And so if I really have a thing with Kadmiel? Regardless of my past issues, and Kadmiel's holy image, there's a possibility that we can be together. I'm gorgeous! Who would not want me?

I gritted my teeth. I checked my phone and there's no message from Kadmiel.

Me:

You know, it's finally circulating that we are dating. But no one fucking believes it. Can you at least fetch me from school? Why are you always at work? Come on, you're a fucking billionaire now. Lend me some of your time!

I grunted out of frustration. I was walking madly when I saw a familiar figure. He just got out of his car. I watched him read something from his phone. His brows knitted before typing something.

I checked my phone and Kadmiel replied.

Kadmiel:

Calm down. I'm inside your school now. Where are you?

I smirked. At least he went here initially.

I continued walking until I reached him. His head moved and eyes landed me. His brows are still knitted which I rolled my eyes at.

"Can you change your expression. Show them at least that you like seeing me," I told him in a low voice.

He sighed and went to me. His arm snaked around my waist and pulled me close to his body as he guided me towards his car. I gulped when I felt a voltage of electricity run down my system. Fuck it.

Kadmiel was about to open the car door for me when my eyes caught Anna's image not far from us. Her eyes are wide enough to represent her shock. I smirked inwardly.

I stopped Kadmiel from opening the door for me. His forehead creased as his gaze lowered on me. Without saying something, I pulled his collar and gave him a peck on his lips.

His jaw clenched and I felt his arm around me tightened.

"Come on, Kad. I just kissed you. What's with that expression? They're watching!" I hissed.

He lowered his face until his lips went near my ear.

"One of your rules is no kissing. You just kissed me. Inside your campus," he hissed back.

I gasped. "I didn't tell you I can't change my rules along the way."

He grunted near my ear. My eyes stretched like a hawk when he crashed his lips on mine. My hand on his clothes crumpled when he deepened his kiss. I was about to kiss back when he harshly bit my lower lip and pulled away.

"What the fuck?" I grunted.

"Get in. This is PDA. Let's not wait for a professor to see us," he commanded with his low, thick voice.

I rolled my eyes and just did what he told me. I looked over the window to check if Anna was still there. I smiled viciously when I saw her parted lips. Now you know the answer, dumbass.

Kadmiel and I were both silent inside the car. I sighed and decided to break the silence. This is so fucking awkward.

"I'll visit a club later. You can come with me," I told him casually.

I looked at him. His eyes are focused on the road. My eyes went down to his arms. Veins are popping out everytime he would maneuver the steering wheel.

"You don't wanna come?"

"I will," he answered icily.

"Okay! Just fetch me from the house around 8 PM."

He didn't answer so I just shrugged. If he won't fetch me later then fine, I'll drive myself.

As we arrived in front of the house, unbuckled the seatbelt and wore my bag. I looked at him. He was just watching, waiting for me to finish everything.

"Thanks. See you later!" I was about to leave the car when I felt him grab me. I creased my forehead in confusion. "What? Do you have something to tell me?"

"Hm-mm," he nodded. "You forgot something."

"What?"

"Goodbye kiss."

"Goodbye— what?" I fixed myself on the seat as I narrowed my eyes at him. "Mr. Candelon, I know my lips taste good. But we won't be needing to kiss right now because there's no one around anymore, okay?"

"Fuck it, Katriel. I want your kiss…" His breathing rugged as I felt him squeeze my arm.

My eyes widened even more. Kadmiel closed his tightly. I was just sitting like a statue. His hand slowly slipped until it reached my lower back. He swiftly pulled me towards him as he planted a kiss on my lips. It took 5 seconds with just our lips touching. His face angled as his lips started to move. He traced my lips with his tongue, gently kissing them in between before he grabbed my lower lip and bit it gently.

I grunted and pulled away from the kiss.

"You've been biting my lower lip since earlier!" I sibilated while panting hard.

"Can't help it," he smirked.

I rolled my eyes and moved away from him.

"I'm going now. You better fetch me later," I glared at him before leaving his car. I just saw him smirk for the last time before he finally drove away.

My parents were not inside the house as I went in. I mean, what's new? It's as if they do not live here anymore.

I peacefully ate my dinner and prepared around 7:30. I pouted my lips as I looked at my closet. My eyes landed on the sage green tube top. I'm too lazy to mix and match my clothes tonight. I just partnered it with my denim skirt and pair of white sneakers. I put my hair in a high ponytail, revealing the details of my pearled necklace.

Kadmiel went back before 8 PM could strike. He just stared at my outfit for a few seconds and uttered nothing. That's right. He has nothing to say on what I should wear.

I played some of his songs in the car stereo. He's got a good music taste, not gonna lie.

The beat is vibrating off the walls as we enter the admission doors of the club. Kadmiel's arm immediately wrapped around my tiny waist. I just let him do it, starting to consider it as his comfort gesture.

The crowd is out in force and ready to party as we go inside. It's been almost 2 weeks since my last party. Oh God, I missed drinking and dancing!

Kadmiel pinched my waist. I glared at him but he wasn't looking at me. I traced his line of vision and saw some people I'm not familiar with. They look like they are in the same circle with him.

"Do you know them?" I asked.

Kadmiel looked at me before he nodded. "Only some."

"Your friends?"

He nodded. "Sort of."

"Then introduce me to them!" I excitedly suggested it to him.

His eyes narrowed before sighing. He didn't say anything but he pulled me towards their direction. I giggled because I know he's gonna do it.

"Kad?" A man wearing a black long sleeves first noticed our arrival. "Yeah, it's you!"

"Jace," Kadmiel greeted him.

"What's up? Long time no…" the man halted when his eyes landed on me and on the way Kadmiel's arm was wrapped around me. "Oh, you're with?"

"Katriel. My girlfriend." It was a simple answer but almost all people around us gasped in unison. They're all shocked. What's shocking?!

"Oh… nice to meet you, Katriel."

Kadmiel and his "friends" started to introduce themselves. After that, they invited us to their table. As we sat down, I felt Kadmiel's hand rest on my exposed thigh. I gasped silently as heat rushed in me with the sudden contact.

Jace is really talkative. He seems to be the closest to Kadmiel. The other guys are Matthew, Van, and Philip. They look all half, based on their facial and body features.

"You won't drink, Katriel." Kadmiel pulled away the glass of alcohol I'm about to drink.

"I've been alcohol deprived for almost 2 weeks, Kad." I whined.

"No." He firmly shook his head.

"Please?" I gave him cute puppy eyes but he still said no. I moved closer until my lips reached his jaw. I planted a soft kiss on it before I whispered. "Please…"

I heard him gasp. His hold on my thigh tightened. I giggled when he gave me back the glass. I smiled in victory as I gulped the drink. I felt Kadmiel's other hand on my waist rub it up and down as he gave me a chaser.

Our night continued by just sitting there. I was actually shocked with myself that I managed to sit down inside the club that long.

"We'll go home at 11," I heard Kadmiel whisper.

I pouted and looked at him. "That's too early! I haven't even danced, Kad. Don't be such a killjoy. I'm also dance deprived, come on…"

He glared. "Then dance now."

"Really?"

"Yeah. With me."

"What? With you? What are you gonna do? Be my bodyguard while I'm dancing?"

His eyebrow arched. "No. I'll dance with you."

I looked at him with amusement. He really did come with me to the dance floor. The song that's playing is very sensual. I suddenly lost a pack of oxygen when I felt Kadmiel's body behind me. His hands rested on both sides of my waist gently.

I felt him crouched and buried his face on the side of my neck. I bit my lips. The tension is fucking there! We're not even dancing. I'm not even moving. But the sexual tension between us is freaking uprising!

I lost it when his lips moved. He planted kisses there while swaying our bodies. His hot wet kisses slowly went up to my jaw, sending wild tremors along my nerves.

"Kad…" I almost didn't recognize my voice when I called him. What the hell? He's just kissing me on my jaw yet I almost moaned?

Kadmiel spinned me around to face him. My eyes feel heavy with the different emotions he's making me feel.

He circled his arms around me as he pulled me closer to him, feeling each other's heat. He reached for my lips and kissed them softly, almost ticklish. But then it wasn’t the kiss I wanted, so with a swift gradation of intensity, I clung to him as I kissed him hard and mercilessly. He groaned low in his throat as he kissed me back roughly. Completely unyielding. His hands reached the back of my head, holding me in place.

He bit my lower lip again before stopping the kiss, giving us both time to catch up with oxygen.

"Damn it, Katriel. I'm madly crazy over your kisses," he whispered as he rested his forehead on mine.
