Chapter 1

Ahana's Pov

The cool breeze of air made me refresh as I came out of the taxi and paid the driver.

As the taxi went away as I took a look at all the surroundings. Everything's changed. But my old house is the same. 

I smiled looking at my old house as I went towards the porch and took out the key to the house.

I was living in London for last six years with my grandma and grandpa. They were my only guardians after that dreadful incident six years back.

Now I'm back in Jaipur. My hometown. I loved everything about here. I inhaled the fresh morning air and smiled. I opened the door and my smile immediately faded.

The house was all broken down. Spider webs greeted me as soon as I entered inside. I hope there are no cockroaches. I looked around and all the furniture looked the same way I had left behind. Even though these place needs lots of cleaning I'm happy to be back here.

I was busy taking in my surroundings when my cell rang and I was sure who is that.

As I fished out my phone I saw the caller id and smiled. My best friend Kaira.

"Bitch!!!" Came a loud voice from the other end making me close my eyes tightly. This is how she treats me. Effects of having a best friend since ten years.

Kaira Diwan was my best friend even before I left Jaipur. We were in touch throughout the six years I was away in London. We used to call each other and talk for hours. And when I told her that I'm coming back to Jaipur for completing my college she was beyond excited that she decided she will give a party. 

"Hello to you too Bitch," I replied as I kept my bags on the porch, the taxi driver helped picking up.

"Did you reach? Did you reach?" She asked excited that I chuckled at her excitement.

"Yeah I just reached." I replied and I could hear her screaming on the other side making me laugh.

"Okay, I'll be there in ten minutes." she said as she cut the call and I chuckled.

I took the phone and made a call to my another childhood friend Ayaan.

"Hello my best friend," came his excited voice.

"I'm assuming that you've reached Jaipur." he said and I smiled.

"Yeah I have." I replied and I could hear him saying a loud yes and I can imagine him fist bumping in the air. I laughed.

"Good I can't wait to meet you." he said and I chuckled.

"Me too, now can you come over." I asked.

"Yeah I can." he replied.

"Good then bring broom and number of table cloths, you know which are no more used and also bring some dust cleaner..." I was cut off by him.

"You're calling me to do your cleaning." I can hear his shocked voice and laughed.

"Well yeah, you're my childhood best friend right?" I blackmailed him. This always works.

"Damn it Ahana, okay fine I'll come." he said and I cheered myself in my mind with a huge smile on my face.

"Good come soon, I'm waiting." I said as I cut the call and smiled a bigger one as I heard the screeching of tires. This is my best friend who will never learn to drive a car properly.

I walked out only to be stumbled backwards as Kaira almost jumped on me.

"Oh...I'm so happy to see you again." she said as she hugged me tightly.

"I missed you so much." she said and broke the hug.

"I missed you too, but don't worry now I'm here." I said and gave her a wink to which she chuckled.

"Right, now come on help me." she said and pulled me towards her car.

"With what?" I asked as she opened the back seat and my eyes went wide.

There were all the cleaning stuff required. 

"You're the best best friend ever." I said as I helped her take out all the things of the car.

We entered inside the house and kept the things aside.

"Fuck. This place looks like something from a horror film," she said as she scanned the living room.

I nodded my head. 

"I know. That's why I also called Ayaan for help." I said and her eyes went wide.

"You called that jerk here." she said with a irritated face.

"Oh come on, don't be like that I know you have a crush on him." I teased her and she just rolled her eyes but I could see a blush on her cheeks.

"No I don't." she countered back. And I raised my hands signalling I surrender. She smiled at herself proudly.

"So how was everything been here?" I asked as we stood outside waiting for Ayaan to cone.

"Everything's the same Ahana, the way you have left except for the people." she said after thinking a bit.

"For example?" I asked her and she fold her arms as if thinking about what to say.

"For example your sworn enemy." she said and I tensed up. Ranbir.

"That bulldozer?" I asked and she chuckled but nodded her head.

"What about him?" I asked.

"Well he has full on changed from the time you have left from here," she replied.

"At last you were his only enemy." she chuckled while saying that part. I smiled and remembered the days when we used to fight for anything.

"Changed like what?" I asked taking interest in the topic though I don't know why.

"He has become one of a sexy person, like he had been proposed by several girls until now." she said and looked at me as if wanting to know my reaction.

I nodded and indicated her to continue.

"But he doesn't date." she completed her sentence and I chuckled. Of course who will date that bulldozer, they will run away as soon as they will see his face.

"Really? Maybe he's gay." I said making her laugh hard. And I joined in.

"No he is not, he is straight." she said between her laughs. 

"And how are you so sure about it?" I asked her.

"He has four best friends that are always with him and I haven't seen him ogling at them cause they are one hot piece of meat." she said with a dreamy smile. I smacked her shoulder making her laugh.

"Okay maybe he is not but I wish I won't meet him, now that I'm back in Jaipur I want to spend my life in peace." I said and took a fresh breath of air.

Suddenly something strikes me. 

"Does he go to our college?" I asked her and when she was about to answer me we heard the honk of car and there comes my another best friend Ayaan.

I smiled as soon as I looked at him and walked toward him while he took me in a tight hug.

"Omg...my best friend is back." he said as he picked me up in the hug and started jumping.

"Gosh Ayaan, put me down." I said as I hit his broad shoulders. He laughed and at last put me down as I took a long breath.

His eyes went on Kaira and he glared at her.

"What is she doing here?" He asked glaring her while she glared him back.

"She is here because she is also my best friend, and I swear to God if you guys will start fighting I will chop you into pieces." I warned them flaring my nose and I know I looked funny cause the next second they burst out laughing.

"Ahana don't ever threaten us, you look funny," Kaira said as she came towards us laughing.

"And don't worry I can handle this idiot for your sake." she said and smacked Ayaan's head from back making him glare her.

"Don't touch me Aaya." he said with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"My name is Kaira not Aaya you idiot Asshole." she said and turned towards the house giving a last glare at Ayaan.

Ayaan laughed and opened the car door taking out the things I asked him to bring me.

I smiled at him as he went inside the house followed by me as I thought about the monster we were talking about and wished that we would never meet and I can live my life without any fights in peace.
