"Where's Alanna? Why isn't she picking up my calls?"

Justin continued to frown. "Mr. Florentine, Ms. Jacinto's mother has just passed away."

"What?" Hades' heart went still for a moment. "When did that happen?"

"It happened earlier. I think… Mr. Florentine Senior's men are behind this incident."

Hades' knuckles gradually whitened from how tightly he was gripping his phone.

Sometime later, he finally replied faintly, "Got it."

Soon, Tara was moved from the emergency room to the morgue. Alanna spent some time wiping Tara's body down before helping her into new clothes.

When Tara had regained her consciousness in the past, Alanna had bought her a few sets of clothes.
