SYDNEY

I walked into the exquisitely designed hotel with Victor's calloused hand in mine. His hand enveloped mine completely, blanketing it in warmth and tingles which created a strange sense of security. I smiled down at our entangled fingers. The little things he did proved he loved me and as time went on, I found it easier to accept that and live with the fact he may never say the words to me.

The lobby of the hotel was bathed in gold and different hues of white. The pearl white porcelain tiles that created the floor could have been eaten on. Royal red couches were placed against the walls at equal intervals, in front of which a glass coffee table sat on top of Persian rugs. My father prided himself on his title but at the same time never showed it off. Pretty the girl at the front desk was praying that no fight would break out between the humans and wolves during their meeting. At least this part of Sydney's plan went her way. I just hope she really doesn't kill Quade.
