Chapter Forty Two

ANNA 

I stand with my hand on my hips.  Looking around my little, white room.  The double bed.  The brown dresser.  The window overlooking the training field.  

I sigh.  So much better to have my own room.  It may be small, but finally have my own space.  I also get my phone back.  

I was given a quick tour of the dorms when I arrived this Monday morning.  Everything is coed here.  Showers, laundry, locker room all shared.  We're also allowed more civilian clothes and more functional uniforms like shorts and tanks instead of just pants.  

I'm unpacking my clothes and piling them up on my bed when I hear a low, hungry growl behind me.

I look over my shoulder.  Rivers leaning on the open door frame.  Arms and legs crossed, smirking.

I stand and turn around.  "Don't you growl at me mister."  I wag my finger at him.

He walks in.
