Ch 31 - Give Him Time

It was still dark out when Hale woke Samantha up. They hadn’t spoken about her training, and he didn’t know how far she’d gone with Amaya, but he figured that she’d tell him. She groggily woke up, barely registering that he was making her brush her teeth and change.

“Where are we going?” she whined as they headed outside.

“We’re going back to the lake,” he replied.

“Ok, let me ask a different question. Why are we heading to the lake right now?” she asked.

“Because this is the best time to harness your energy,” he responded.

“I feel like that’s a load of nonsense, but I’ll bite,” she grumbled.

He laughed at that, leading the way to the lake. He already knew that she wasn’t exactly a morning person, despite telling him about the strange rule they had at the Twilight Moon Pack about everyone having breakfast together.

Just because she had to comply with the rules, didn’t mean she liked them.
