Chapter 47

Katarina's Pov

I held my breath as I hid under the bed. I could hear the footsteps of the guard. I came out once his footsteps started fading away. The house was huge. I needed to look for the children as soon as possible.

I knew they were going to unchain me if they wanted me to eat. The guard didn't like it when I told him to feed me if he wasn't going to unchain me.

Angrily, he unchained me which was when I got the opportunity to hit him and run away. I thought there would be more guards outside but there were none. Without thinking twice I ran to another room and hid. The guard would never think I was just beside the room.

Tak and the other children should be here somewhere. I came out of the room and quietly went down the stairs. I could smell my son's scent. He was here. My wolf growled happily.

I followed the scent but halted.
