Chapter Thirty One

Reiner's POV

I knew she wanted to go home. She could be so impatient. I need to talk to doc anyway. I Needed the results of the test. I made my way through the many corridors until I got to Doc’s office. He was sitting at his computer. I knocked on the door. He looked up from the screen.

“Come in Reiner, my boy. I was just looking over the test results.”

I felt my heart race. I took a seat across from him. “Ok, Doc, what’s the answer?”

He leaned back. “You have to remember. She did not have anything to do with this. All of it was out of her control. She was only ten.”

“I know doc. I would never blame her for any of it. I will not tell her either. I know it could force her back to where she was when she didn’t speak for a year.” I will support her and when the time is right, I will tell her whatever the results are.”

“Well, the test says what we thought, Myla is Evie’s biological mother.”
