Chapter 12

Weighing on his feelings, Lyken wasn’t sure whether he was mad at her because she left him or because it seemed like what she did before didn’t really matter to her.

Jada could still smile at him and that smile alone melted his heart. It’s unfair. Lyken felt aggrieved.

Lyken immediately walked up to the table when Kobe called him. But their friend was quick to bow his head when he saw Jada glaring at him.

He slowly sat on the seat occupied by Kristoff earlier. He was trying his best not to look at the beautiful woman next to him, forcing himself to pay attention to their friends.

“This is cheating! Why are you guys having a reunion when you know I’m out of the country?” he scolded before scowling at them.

“Pfft, enough with the drama,” Kobe cut him off. “I told you we were going out. That’s probably why you rushed back because you missed us too!”

Lyken laughed at his best friend. He knew him too well. It’s true that he missed everyone, except for Kobe, of course.
