Harry sighed. "I'm so glad you're okay, babe," he said.

"Me too," Brooklyn said honestly. "How's Sasha doing?"

"I don't care how she's doing, do you think I know?" Harry asked. "She's doing a hell of a lot better than you so she's not worth my time."

"Harry!" Brooklyn scolded. "She's my friend!"

"And she crashed you into a tree," Harry said. "I think I'm justified to not like her."

"You're not the one who crashed," Brooklyn said. "You're not justified at all."

"I don't care either way," Harry shrugged. "You're the only person I care about."

"Ace said he's never seen you care about someone like you do with me," Brooklyn blurted.

"Ace needs to keep his mouth shut," Harry growled.

"Is it true?" Brooklyn asked.

"Yes," Harry said simply. "I haven't got many people to care about, Brooklyn. I don't get close to people. I don't build relationships with people."

"Is it because of what happened with your family?" Brooklyn asked quietly.
