Chap.16*Hickey*

I woke up a bit early that morning. It has to do with what happened last night, I thought. As I took a shower to get ready for the gym, I realized it was too early and the girls might not even be awake by now. Having spare time in my hand, I decided to go for a morning walk. It’s been ages since I have enjoyed a good morning jaunt. 

The chirping of sweet little birds, the fresh morning breeze, the fog of winter, and then here it was me, wrapped up in two sweaters and socks like a burrito. To put it simply, it was so damn cold outside. The cut-off gloves weren’t doing a great job for my naked fingers, I swear I almost felt they were frozen. 

Pulling up the muffler to cover my nose, I started my walk. Slowly the birds too went silent as the cold began to grow intense. I hugged myself even tighter and marched towards the tunnel.
