Chapter 22- The Truth

Aria followed Adrian into the lounge, thinking she had never seen him this angry before. He held onto her wrist a little roughly and looked down at her with a serious look,

“Why is she here?” he asked about Lucia as he looked down at her, waiting for her to speak. Aria looked up at him,

“Let go of my hand Adrian” she said quietly as she looked up into his dark eyes, that held no emotions. Adrian pulled her closer to him and looked down at her seriously,

“I asked you a question, what is she doing here?” he asked quietly yet very clearly. Aria tried to pull her hand out of his but failed miserably.

“I invited her over” she said bravely, thinking he looked scary. Adrian shook his head lightly,

“Let me guess she’s sold you a sob story and you’ve believed her” he said. Lucia got up from the sofa and looked up at them, thinking now this was fun, seeing them both standing eye to eye.

“We can talk about this later, let go of me please” Aria said to Adrian with a serious look, hoping he liste
