Maria’s POV

The entire mansion was silent as I lay in my bed, I could not bring myself to fall asleep, thoughts kept running around in my head, I could not stop replaying the conversation with the Ethan and Alexander in my head, I could not stop thinking about what my mother had done this time.

I had this nagging fear that whatever it was something that was terrible, I just prayed it was something that I could handle.

The anxiety and curiosity was simply killing me, I had wanted to speak to her the moment I finished my conversation with Ethan and Alexander but they had convinced me to let it go until it was morning but now, I could not get my mind to stop thinking about it and simply fall asleep.

With a loud groan, I got up from the bed preparing to go and find something that could make me sleep, I just pulled on my robe when a knock sounded on the door, it was weird for anyone to be knocking on my door by this time and everyone was probably asleep by now.
