Chapter 109: The Game and Plan

“This feels so odd,” Alfeo commented, watching me sitting before him, ready for a private meeting of the Calixes.

“Agreed, it sure does,” I said as I stared back at him. Then moving my gaze from him and to the couple in the corner I said, “Well at least you only feel odd, look at Diana and Gavin over there. She is having a hard time trying to console him.”

“It must be rough on him. He has worked here for longer than me and has been by Draven’s side for so long and yet the man had no idea who you were to his leader. Neither did Diana ever tell him. He is bound to feel betrayed,” Alfeo said, clicking his tongue at the frown clear on Gavin’s face as we watched Diana trying to sweet talk him and apologize.

“I feel like Draven owes Diana a lot too. He literally has her apologizing to everyone,” I said feeling bad for her.

“Well let’s not dwell on it, at least you are finally and officially sitting here with us and working alongside,” he said with a grin and I nodded my head at him.
