Chapter 130: Too late

*DRAVEN*

“I am sorry but we had to pull our men back,” Alfeo said as soon as we reached there.

“What happened here?” I asked, slamming the door in frustration, understanding well enough that even though we had got the place right, we had been a little late.

Smoke rose up from different directions and when I took a few steps closer I could see that the entirety of one side of the mansion had been blown up with bricks fallen here and there. There were bodies strewn here and there like logs. Crumbled walls with fires still burning in a few places.

“Wear this, the police and reporters will get here soon,” Diana said, bringing a cap and a set of sunglasses for me, making me notice only then that they had worn their own too with masks. Putting on the items along with a mask that I carried with myself.
