Chapter 40: Worse

“Hi Silia!”

Delilah one of the women that I work with and Alfeo’s staff greeted me as soon as I stepped into Alfeo’s floor. It was one that was just below Draven’s and looked like a typical office space of luxurious and busy companies. There were cubicles here for all the assistant workers in one corner while the main secretaries had their cubicles situated just outside of Alfeo’s office. A mini cafeteria was also installed in this floor for the busy workers for a quick snack if they needed one along with a nap room that was often used by my colleagues who had been working to their bone.

If I be honest they got enough money for the work they did but it would be hard living a life such as theirs. They had me believed on the first day here that they had been robots disguised as humans.

Taking my seat in the assistant cubicle’s area where my table was set I looked at the few papers that I had to segregate and then fill the numbers into an excel sheet. It was probably the easie
