Chapter 52: Always an exception

I just know I am going to regret this greatly. Decisions made in anger usually have a reputation for failing.

My steps feel heavy going to Draven’s office. Since I agreed to get along with Alfeo’s plan I have been trying to avoid Draven but Alfeo must have been more serious than I thought to be creating opportunities for us to execute our plan.

“That’s a deep sigh, are you feeling okay?” Delilah asked as I passed her with the file that Alfeo had given me to carry to Draven’s office.

“I am contemplating a decision I made,” I huffed making her give me a compassionate smile.

“I am sure everything will be fine in the end but if it’s a bigger problem why don’t you ask Mr. Delluci to help you? You know that he treats you special,” she said and halting for a second I wondered if her words had any double meaning behind it but it didn’t. She was genuinely offering me this advice.
