Chapter 75: I think I had missed her.

It’s been a few minutes since I have woken up but surprisingly except for the nurse there has been no one here to visit me.

“Excuse me?” I croaked to the nurse who had helped me to sit up straighter. She looked kind and slightly scared as she tended to me. Every movement that I made had kept her on edge and wondering why that was I asked, “Is there something wrong with me?”

“You were shot but in a spot that didn’t bring you much harm, you are certainly lucky,” The nurse said helping me with some water. My body ached but since I was given some pain killers I could barely feel anything else except for tiredness and worry.

She must have heard the scratchiness and roughness in my squawking voice to have helped out on her own but I still didn’t understand why she looked scared if everything was fine as she said. “Do you know who brought me here?”
