His son's birthday

Alana sat alone in her dimly lit apartment, her heart heavy with anguish after a heated argument with her husband Ricardo. After their fierce dispute, she couldn't see a reason to continue living, as her world had shattered into a million irreparable pieces.

“Bri, don't worry, I'm fine,” Alana muttered over the phone and tossed some used tissues in the trash. A cascade of memories flooded her mind, reminding her of the beautiful moments she had once treasured with Ricardo. Reflecting on their shared laughter, love, and warmth, Alana couldn't help but feel a profound sense of loss.

“Alana, please take care of yourself… I know you want to be alone, but this is not the time,” Brigitte's voice was heard from the other side.

“I'll see you tomorrow at the office…goodnight,” Alana whispered and disconnected the call. She tossed her phone on the couch and continued sketching some designs. She could as well as drown in her work.
