“Friend?” Alana scoffed in disbelief and kept her eyes on Ricardo. The man shifted in front of her and leaned down to her. “She insulted me and saying you fired her is nothing but bluffing,” it was too good to be true. The man didn't fire his so-called receptionist.

“Is it a problem?” He whispered with a smirk, Alana frowned and tried to get away from him. But he trapped her completely.

“Mr. Romero, by now we know I can't meddle in your affairs…especially with your employees,” she said plainly, making Ricardo smirk even more. He slowly sat on the desk since he was sitting on his chair.

“It triggered nothing?” He muttered as his hand reached for Alana's neck, he slowly grasped her hair between his fingers and tucked it behind her ear.

“Is Mr. Romero expecting anything from me…perhaps…” Alana was aware the man had his affairs to deal with. That girl was called Chloe. She was Ricardo's childhood friend.
