I snapped awake in my bed, and for a moment I was confused. I didn’t know where I was. My heart was beating too fast in my chest, but my breathing was coming out calm. I got back to work and somehow managed to get myself through the rest of the day. I woke up early, as usual, snapping awake and feeling alert.
